If your estate plan only deals with your money and stuff, then you are not protecting your most important assets.  You assets are not just what you have in your bank account or the things you have.  While that is important, sure, your assets are so much more than that.  Your total assets are also your emotional, intellectual, and spiritual assets as well.  That’s what really makes you, you.  And if you think about it, that’s what we really would like for our parents to have preserved for us and what our kids would like preserved for them.  A Priceless Conversation helps capture those assets and preserves them for your kids, grandkids, and beyond.

For parents of young kids that have selected guardians for their children, at our third meeting we will sit down and discuss who you chose as guardians for your children, why you chose them, who else you want to be involved in your children’s lives, how you want your children to be raised, what you want them to be taught about money, how you want them raised spiritually, and how you want your children to remember you.  Everyone knows that leaving instructions for the guardians you have selected for your children is as important as selecting guardians for your children in the first place. Yet all too often this important step gets left out.  Because this is an integral step in our estate planning process, we are able to help you give valuable guidance to the guardians you have selected to raise your children.

What I’ve found is that after you’ve gone through this session, it helps you become a better parent because you have stepped out of the everyday hustle and bustle and running around that we all do and it makes you really drill down and focus on your children and how you want them to be raised.  What I’ve found, and have found this to be true personally, is that when you go through this process you inevitably measure yourself against your own ideal and see what you want to improve on.  And whether we realize it or not, as parents there is always more that we can improve on.
